Obviously, this is my drawing for The Worst Pies in London from Sweeney Todd. If you haven't yet seen it, this song's a very important piece. It is the introduction to the main female character and accomplice to Mr. Todd: Mrs. Lovett.
I decided not to draw Sweeney in this picture, since he doesn't sing in the song at all, even though the part where he's about to talk and then she says "Poppin' pussies into pies!" and he just closes his mouth is my favorite part.
And this drawing was a fun one.
Favorite thing: Her pose! It's all slinky and what-not...I also love her expression. She looks like she's pouting.
Least favorite thing: You don't get to see Sweeney's silly expression.
*Gasp* A CUSTOMER!
Where's your rush? Where's your hurry?
You gave me such a
Fright, I thought you was a ghost!
Half a minute, can't ya sit?
Sit ya down.
...All I meant is that I haven't seen a customer for weeks.
Did you come here for a pie, sir?
Do forgive me if me head's a little vague...
(What was that?) *squashes cockroach*
But you'd think we 'ad the plague,
From the way the people
(No you don't!) *squashes another roach*
Mrs. Mooney has a pie shop!
Does her business,
But I've noticed something weird.
Lately all her neighbors
Cats have disappeared.
Have to hand it to her.
What I calls
Poppin' pussies into pies!
Wouldn't do in MY shop!
Just the though of it's
Enough to make you sick!
And I'm telling you them pussy-cats is quick.
